CARECA HILL
The Careca Hill is located close to Terra do Sol Inn. With the sea sight accommodations, you have this PRIVILEGED SIGHT TO CARECA HILL.
Natal postcard, the Careca Hill is a dune on the far end of Ponta Negra beach. It has a little more than 100 m high (328 feet high) and was early used to practice, for example, butt-skiing by the city locals. Currently it's forbidden to climb the dunes, it has become a preserved region, but it's interesting to observe it from afar, both in day and night - when a special illumination shines upon it.
Part of the dune is covered by the sandbank while another portion has only sand. Depending on the angle in which the dune is observed, it can look like a bald head.
As a place closed for the public, it's practically impossible to admire the dune and its vegetation in full extension, however, if you take a boat trip through the region, you can admire not only the ''other'' side of the dune but also the Tartarugas Beach (Turtle Beach).
